  Intel Audio Sync Issue with QT 7.2???

  Has anyone with a MacPro and QT 7.2 run into an issue where FCP is playing back fine and all of the sudden, you’ll get a “pop” and then audio gets out of sync?

  We’ve only seen this on Intel machines. It started happening after the QT 7.2 upgrade. We’ve seen it in both FCP 5.1.4 and FCP 6.0.1.

  After the symptom starts, it affects all other apps including QT Player and DVD Studio Pro. A restart fixes the problem.

  We’ve seen it on BMD and AJA cards, so it is not card specific.

  Yeah, I’m continually having to trash prefs to clear it. It usually seems to crop up when I’m using Motion along side FCP.
