  Install FCS2 space probs on Macbook Pro 2

  Cows,

  I did find a great thread on this topic under the subject:
  “installing FCS2 – space issue with Macbook Pro 2” however, I have some additional questions. Thanks in advance for your help.

  I have the new mbp and have tried to install fcps2 and alas, there is not much space left on the internal hd — and so I have witnessed the glory of the rainbow ball and then the crashing of motion and fcp and boy is the machine hot.

  In the above mentioned thread, PDPost suggests doing a full install on the mbp and then moving some of the templates to an external hd. I have a new 160 gm maxtor. The templeates refrenced are: Motion, STP and DVDSP templates.

  1. can you please tell me step by step which templates I can move over, how to locate the templates on my mbp, and how move the templates to a bnew drive and do I need to put them in special folders on the new external hd?

  2. will my maxtor work fine with this as opposed to the classy la cie?
