  FCS2 on G5 2×2.5 non Intel

  Currently running FCP5.1.2, how well will FCS2 run on my G5? Is it worth doing?

  It’s 2×2.5 with 3.5GB ram

  My Dual 2.5 G5 runs FCS 2 just fine. What video card do you have, that will make a big difference with motion & color?

  It’s a radeon 9800XT.

  Does FCS2 ship on dual sided DVDs? My reader wont cope with those!

  Your graphics card douse meat the requirements, any time you are thinking of upgrading you should always check.

  None of the disks are dual sided, some of them are dual layered though.

  I don’t see how a drive could not work with a two sided DVD, each side of the disk is completely separate.

  And any DVD drive can read a dual layer disk. If the drive is having a problem, then you should have it looked at.
