I have a very strange problem with Final Cut Pro 6… It’s often quitting on me, and then when I reopen it, every thing in the sequence needs to be rendered- even things that shouldn’t require rendering… I trashed my user preferences, but that didn’t seem to help…

    Any thoughts would be welcome…

Douse the same thing happen with a different project file.
You said that you trashed preference files, thats a good start. Have you repaired your disk permissions?

Finalcut is quitting quite alot these days. It looks like there is a memory leak that makes fcp quit after some rendering. This happens alot with me, and you loose renderfiles if fcp hasn’t saved before quitting. However, you shouldn’t render stuff you normally shouldn’t though. That should be easily solved

Thanks for your response- you know it’s funny, just after I posted, there was an update for the Pro apps, and it seems like it opened just fine… Hopefully that solved the problem. Thanks everyone for your responses…
