  FCP->SonyM25 – no tc?

  This is probably more of a Sony issue, but when I record to tape (the simple way), to my Sony M25 HDV/DV/DVCAM deck, it doesn’t seem to record any time code onto tape. It just stays at 00:00:00:00. Obviously I’m not with the program somehow as that doesn’t seem possible. What am I missing?

  Hey Bob – go into the menu of the deck and set timecode to INTERNAL. The EXTERNAL setting will result in zero timecode because FCP does not put timecode into the HDV stream.
