Posted by Boofer on July 30, 2007 at 1:56 amI mean the final edit, how come for the big features like Transformers. Apple Final Cut would not get the duties to do the final edit.

July 30, 2007 at 2:28 pmThat is because Hollywood has used Avid for so long now that the industry standard for large budget films are using giant edit systems like Avid. Final Cut Pro has only recently become a contender in this industry. If you do more research, you’ll find that more movies are using Final Cut Pro in some part of the process than it has in the past.

July 30, 2007 at 9:27 pm“Hollywood”-type major features use dozens of applications. Any particular version, model or release of any NLE may only be in use in any aspect of the project for the developers of said NLE to be able to claim, in all truth, “this new major feature was edited on Brand X NLE.”
Funny, you rarely see Ulead, Media 100, Premiere, Grass Valley, Sony and forty or fifty other NLE makers making such claims.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
