this is a silly question but…

I would like to place 3 DV-NTSC 720×480 videos turned to a 90 degree angle inside of a 1280×720 HDV. So three vertical videos side by side. the width of the 720×480 is not the same as the hiegth of the 1280×720 tempelte? it looks like there is 20 pixels black space. why would there be that extra space?

Most cameras that record to tape don’t record perfectly raster to raster. There’s an area known as overscan that gets hidden by the viewing area of television sets (underscan). Some slight adjustments might need to be made on your end.
