Hello everyone
I am trying to capture footage shot in HDV 720p PAL using a JVC GY-HD 100E as a VCR via firewire in FC Studio. Although settings seem to be correct in both the camcorder and the software, I have full device control but no picture no matter what I do. Same thing happens in other editing software such as PPro 2 and Edius 4.24 on PC. Anyone knows what could be wrong? Please help ’cause a project needs to be edited asap.

Anyone knows what could be wrong?< If you cannot get your VCR to input into an editing system on Mac or PC, your problem is likely with your VCR or the cables you are using to attach it. Without any additional information about your level of competency or what else you have tried, that's the best I can do for you. You might try using more indicative terms in your subject line. You will get more hits from folks who can hep you; many of us ignore generic cries for help because they're usually dumb user errors. However, you should search here for those models and formats and see what else turns up.
