Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

I’m trying to spit out my video and audio using compressor so I can bring into DVD Studio Pro to make a DVD of my 20 minute short. However, it will not open. Can anyone make any sense of this or show me a way around using Compressor? I’m pulling files from two hard drives. it gives me the following message:

For a work around, just import your sequence directly into DVD SP. It can encode it all by itself.

What version of Studio? Compressor 2 or 3?

I’d suggest that a reinstall of Compressor might work, but if it doesn’t, a clean install of your startup disk and reinstall of Studio will fix you right up.

Render your sequence completely. Even the effects that play in real time. Otherwise what’s next will not only take longer, but the file will be bigger because it must reference render files or untouched media files. (sans any effects).

Choose it in the Browser without any in or out points so that the whole sequence is exported. Then choose file/export/QuickTime movie. Click OFF the make self contained option if you’re going to burn the DVD on the same system that your media resides on. This creates a reference movie that you can import into DVD SP as an asset just like you used to import the MPEG file and audio file in the past.

In DVD SP’s preferences, you can choose the encoding parameters you want to use .). Choose these before you import that reference movie. You can even encode in the background while you create menus for your DVD.
