I’ve been asked to do a training video for a software program that will mostly consist of showing the computer display with voice over, similar to what Steve Martin does on the Ripple Training series or the Lynda.com programs. What’s the best way to capture the computer display and also possibly do occasional zoom-ins? This program will be viewed on computer, not NTSC.

SnapZ Pro… Ambrosia software… It’s the only one I know of that captures screens as movies.

You can zoom with the keyboard commands found in the Unversal Access pref in the System settings of your Mac…

Thanks Jerry. Just what I was looking for……unless the software I’m demoing only runs on Windows. I don’t know that yet; I just want to be prepared. Any thoughts on that? I couldn’t run both simultaneously on an Intel Mac, could I?

If someone you know has a Matrox MXO, I believe that does it too, in hardware.

All Right! Thank you, Guys. Looks like I’ve got it covered either way.
