  i want to add the same effects to multiple clips. how can i do this without copying and pasting all the motions settings and filter settings in the clip?

  Select the clip with the effects, copy (apple-c), select the clips you want to copy the effects to and hit paste attributes (option-v). Select the attributes you wish to copy.
