  template media

  Have installed the upgrade of FCP studio but have a concern regarding the new- added media for templates etc. I try to keep my HD as open as possible with only applications on it and keep media on an external drive but the template media included in the installation has been installed to my internal HD and is almost filling it up.
  Is there a good way to install the upgrade and put all that media on an external and not have a problem linking it during use?

  You can specify where to put them from the install disk seems to me. install them somewhere, and then in each app’s prefs you specify the path name to them.
