  Autosave slowing me down

  I need to autosave every 3 mins because of TX deadlines etc, but my FCP version 5.1.2 has started autosaving and stopping my progress. Help! Need to autosave in the background. Any ideas?

  You could save a version of your project for a backup, then delete as many of the unneeded sequences as you can. This will make the file smaller and make autosaves less painful.

  Or you can just remember to save your project often (I prefer autosaves).

  Either way, you still need to save it somehow which will take time.
