  FCP not opening/plug ins

  I seem to be having issues opening Final Cut Pro. Every time i start the application, as it loads AE knoll light factory plug ins it doesnt seem to find them and when i manully tell it where to find the effects/plugins it takes close to an hour. And when i close FCP and reopen it later i have to go through the whole process again. Is there any way to disable plug ins or save the location of the plug ins? Any and all advice is a major help.

  How did you set FCP to look for or use AE plugs?
  Only a few third party publishers use AE’s universal API. Most do not and none of the Adobe plugs can be used in FCP.

  Open all of the plugin folders for FCP, there will be at least three in various libraries and in the application package, and check for any aliases that point to your AE sets. Destroy the aliases and move any AE plugs out of the FCP structure.
