Standard FPS for Animation?

June 28, 2007 at 5:08 pmIF there is a standard. In my experience it is 24fps, and 2 pictures per frame. So 12 pictures in one second, but each one occupying two frames.
This is for CEL animation, or hand drawn animation (GI JOE). Might be different for computer animation (Toy Story) or stop motion animation (Wallace and Gromit).

What is the destination of these files, film, broadcast, DVD? Only with that information could anyone answer your question intelligently.
