  Audio Pan

  Why does every clip in fcp have an automatic audio pan of -1? Shouldn’t it be at 0?

  Eli,

  What kind of files are you specifically referring to? Are you using a mixer?

  I don’t think every clip does have an automatic pan of -1. Certainly when capturing video with mono audio on both channels the pan is center-panned “0” on both channels.

  Stereo music files are imported with channel-1 hard panned left and channel-2 hard panned right, and that does show up in the audio tab of the viewer as -1, but that’s proper.
