  change serial number?

  Greetings all!

  Got an odd one for ya.. does anyone know how to change the serial number associated with final cut pro? I accidentally used the wrong one during the install so now I have 2 machines with the same serial number on my network and only one will work because of that..

  Do I need to reinstall all over again (uhg!)?

  Go to Library/Application Support/Pro Apps and delete the FCP System ID. You’ll have to put in a new one when you launch the application.

  I had the same problem and this solution worked. However, FCP is prompting me to enter the new serial number every time I restart. Do I have to reinstall the entire Final Cut Studio package?
