more dropped frames on capture
I’ve read the archives about my problem (unique to users of FCP 4.5 and OS 10.4.9 )and the work around of capturing to the internal drive instead of a FW drive isn’t working.
I’m a low dough indy filmmaker shooting 24P who thought he could capture to the internal drive, then move the clips to the FW drive. Apple suggested the capture part, but I still get the dropped frame message. Any suggestions?
I know I should upgrade to FCP 5 or 6, but right now I have more time than money.

Mac OS 10.4.10 just came out, and it is reported to fix this:

This is a spotlight issue. Search 10.4.9, “capture scratch” and spotlight.
