I shot some footage on the DVX 100b in the advanced 24 frame mode and have a question about importing. In FCP there is an advanced pull-down option for 24 NTSC 48 KHZ. I figured this is the appropriate setting for capturing the tape and also for the sequence preset in the time-line. However, the editor is importing the footage and says that after trying out the import the footage looks best at NTSC 48 khz. Is there some conversion that happens with the DVX where even though it is 24P advanced it converts the final output to 29.97? How should I capture this footage and which sequence preset do I use? Thanks for any help.

NTSC video has to playback at 29.97… there is not direct playback of 24p in standard def.

so with a 29.97 playback, after having shot DVX 100b at 24p advanced, do I still use the DV NTSC 24P advanced capture option or do I use the DV NTSC 48 Khz option in FCP? Thanks again!
