  FCP 5.1.4 vs 6

  I’m just wondering if the new version of FCP is worth buying? I have a MACPRO with 4 gigs of ram and was wondering what the main differences are? Is the old and new FCP universal binary or intel based? Is color really worth it?

  Not in its present form, needs a lot of work before it will really be useful with FCP.

  If you want the new ProRes 422 codec then you could step up to 6, but honestly FCP 5.1.4 is just fine and you can add Colorista from Red Giant for $199 and get very good CC right in FCP.
