    Hi there!

I have problem with creating stroke effect in AE 7.0 Pro around the layer so it can be outlined with certain color, like stroke effect in Photoshop.
I am used to using Trapcode 3D stroke, but it can create stroke only using vector masks. As i am using more than one mask to create graphic, stroke creates outline in intersection areas and that is the effect that i’m trying to avoid.
    Here’s the example….

    Thanks!

Why not simply use open mask paths? Right-click on the mask and selct the corresponding option.

    Thanks for the answer Mylenium.

Sure i could use open mask in this example, but there are some other graphics that i could not get away with.
    Thanks anyway!

In that case create the outlines using a duplicate of the masked and pre-comped layer. Dilate it using minimax or Simple choker, then apply Fill.
