  Swap audio track from QT already edited

  I made multiple edits of a QT file and put them in multiple sequences. But I now want to cut audio channel 2 and duplicate channel 1, so I get a “stereo” track with channel 1 only, panned left/right. Can I replace the audio track of the original QT file or I have no choice of changing it within each sequences ?
