  Do the clips keep its native codec on the sequence?

  Okay, I have a question that has bothered me for a while but never found the an answer…

  When setting a Final Cut Pro sequence to a codec compression of DVCPRO HD 24p 960×720 for example, but then dragging DVCPRO HD 24p 960×720 clips mixed with NTSC-DV 720×480 29.97 to the timeline… on output, lets say using Compressor to output MPEG-2 from the timeline, will Final Cut re-render the NTSC-DV footage to DVCPRO HD, then re-render it again to MPEG-2 with Compressor? …or will it keep the NTSC-DV footage native (even though it’s in a DVCPRO HD sequence) but go right to MPEG-2?

  …might be a noobie question (and sorry if its been asked)… but I rarely have mixed footage so this has been a non-issue for me until now.
