I need to lay off a show to 4 tracks on DBeta (show has 8 tracks, say).
If I go to Sequence Settings>Audio Output, choose 4 tracks, and then open my mixer, all the tracks get sent to 1 and 2. I need to put Narration/Dialogue/Effects on 1 and 2, and send Music to 3 and 4. I get the same result whether Downmix is disabled or not.

I know how to do this in Avid, but I’m missing something. What is it?

Control+click on the audio controls in your sequence (the area to the left of the timeline, BUT NOT the audio channel toggles) and select “Audio Outputs” and your different channels can be selected there.
