    Hey all,

WEll, I’m trying to put together a new demo reel so I asked a client to send me some uncompressed QT files of animations I did for them on DVD to add to it. Well, one of the QT movies comes up with the dreaded white screen and won’t play back. WOrse is, QT can’t remedy the situation. I checked the movie properties and it says the video is “DVCPRO50”. I did a google and there was no clear cut answer as to how to get this to playback. Is there a codec that I can DL for windows?

    Windows XP
QT 6.5 (QT7 screws up audio in After Effects)
    AE7

    Thanks,

    Todd

Not 100% sure, but I believe you can download a generic CoDec from Panasonic intended for previewing stuff from their P2 range.

There’s a Matrox DVCPRO50 codec in there, but make sure it’s box is checked when you install it. May not be default.
