  Does anyone know about a new codec called AVC-HD

  It’s used on consumer disc based cameras, for DVD Encoding and for some broadcast encoding. Not something you would edit with, it’s another MPEG-4 derivative.

  Just Google ACV-HD and you’ll find a lot of articles about it.

  Isn’t it like the H264 version of HDV? (but records to drives/memory/dvd instead of tape)
