Problems batching HDV through firewire on FCP 5.1.4
Hello
We are in the process of batching/capturing some HDV tapes into FCP using a ordinary log.
The process have been unstable all along the way, but now it refuses to work properly. We have a Sony HDV deck, going through firewire and being captured on a network-RAID.
It baches ordinarily untill its time to “reconnecting files”.
So the file is captured, but it doesn’t connect itself to the corresponding clip. Instead it still says “offline” and in the Scratch disk folder we find the captured files but with filenames such as:202584001.142816007137.mov
Anyone that has experienced something similar before?
We tried switching between deck and camera, a different G5, outputting a downsampled DV-signal instead (but then it refused to even begin batching)
And deleting all the FCP preferences, restarting etc.
We use the easy-setup 1080i50 – preset, FCP 5.1.4, QT 5.1.5, G5, 1,5TB RAID.
(this thing is supposed to be done on thursday so don’t be shy… 🙂
