I just did a “Capture Now” on an entire tape and saved it to my scratch drive. Now, I want to make clips out of it, name them and keep them in my browser. I can load the footage just fine in my viewer, but I want to make and name clips. How do I do that?

You can. You’ve got all the information in the manual about clips, master-clips, sub-clips…

Click on help and type in subclip.

    Welcome to FCP!

You may find some help in the creative calf forum as well (and a little more forgiveness for question topics).

The manual is very good in FCP – easy to search and well laid out.

    All the best.
