Vector animation puzzler…
Hi…
I’m trying to create an animation that features a 2d line drawing that morphs from one shape to the
next.
The problem is, much of the animation features sections where the object needs to be squashed, for example; from an object the width of the screen, to a very narrow object 1/20th width of the screen.
If I import Illustrator files, the vector lines will be squashed accordingly if i simply keyframe the scale width of the drawing from 100% to 5% – as in the horizontal lines will look fatter, while the vertical lines will become thinner – you follow me?
What I would really like is that the stroke size of the line remained consistant, regardless of how i contort the vector drawing. Is this possible by any means? .. I was thinking if there was some way to convert a rotobiezer mask into a vector line drawing, with control of stroke width and colour, that would do the trick… is that possible? … or is there any other way of doing this? Thanks in advance people… =)
