    Hi guys

I’ve recently upgraded to FCP6 in Studio 2, and I’m having some weirdness on an HDV project.

When I open the project, some portions of it appear as unrendered during playback, whilst they appear as rendered on the timeline!! So although they should be rendered, when you playback certain clips show up as blue screen ‘unrendered’.

Now, when I do a full render of even a small portion of the allegedly unrendered shots as if by magic everything including clips that I didn’t rerender appears to now playback.

    Strange non?

Any ideas why this is doing this?

    Thanks

    Robin,

If I were you I would delete all render files uisng Render Manager and rerender the entire timeline. Though I don’t know for sure, it certainly sounds like there is a conflict brewing under the hood bewteen FCP5 and FCP6 renders.

David is the render manager a new feature of FCS2?

Nope, that one has been there since whenever. Its under Tools. Its certainly comes in handy whenever renders become corrupt.
