Does anyone know of a plug-in for FCP that can edit metadata directly in fcp? I need to embend metadata directly in fcp for exported QT files which retain metadata info used for encoding purposes. If there are currently no plug-ins available, are there any simple external editors?

    Thanks,

Perhaps you can explain EXACTLY what you are trying to?

You can generate XMP sidecar files in most media handling applications like Adobe Bridge but AFAIK, Apple hasn't seen fit to bless us with modern metadata handlers in the FCP. Same reason we can't see the embedded data on DV tapes that most cameras record, date/time/ camera settings and such. bogiesan This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
