  xdcam frame rate confusion

  If I shot 24p with the 330 XDCAM than let the camera downconvert I get a 29.97 dv file in FCP. If I bring it in through FAM the file property says 23.98.

  2 questions then…

  For SD output I would assume Ijust edit in a regular dv 29.97 timeline? And what about graphic creation? I won’t be doing an HD conform right away because of time constaints (this is for a 48 hour film project) But I may want to finish in HD at some point.

  Really its a just for fun project so if I screw something up its not a huge deal. I just figured since I’ve never tried 24p before that this was a good opportunity for me to get my hands wet.

  I’ve searched the archives and read a ton about pulldown, unfortunately none of it really sticks in my head because I never work with anything other than the standard 29.97.
