FInal Cut Studio 2 shipping…get mine tomorrow
Says it’s being delivered tomorrow. I ordered an upgrade from FCP Studio. Let’s hope it works. 🙂

Just out of curiosity Kevin, where are you (US? UK?) and when did you place your order? Just curious cause I ordered the same upgrade at the end of April on the East Coast of the US and it would just be nice to get it this week for a little project I have the following week that could benefit from the 3D in Motion. Not a deal breaker, but nice to know. Thanks in advance.

Ordered it the first day it was announced and on sale. I’m in Raleigh, NC…US.
I’m not sure I’d plan any projects on it yet, though. Could have some bugs.

You can always find all FCP related documents in the Support section of the Apple site. I see a bunch of FCP 6 / FCS 2 related articles there now.

Should have noted, a BIG no-no this time around is don’t keep your old applications around. Says you won’t be able to open them once you install FCS 2.

Thanks Kevin. The only reason I’m breaking the cardinal rule of new software here is because I have no other projects going rights now and all I’m making is a simple photo montage that, if Motion and I don’t get along, I’m just going to make in Powerpoint. So, deffinetley strange circumstances, but I guess now I can be the guinea pig 🙂

Me too!!! I was one of the first to order when Apple opened the site just after the Sunday launch. I think they’re going alphabetically — my order number starts with a “W” as in my last name. Could that be the logic?
