  • Exporting Audio with Timecode

Posted by Mike Kahn on May 14, 2007 at 4:17 pm

I have some clips that need to be sent out for transcription as audio only files. Usually I would just put BITC onto a quicktime and send it out but thats not how this company does it. Is there any way to export audio with a timecode track embedded in it?

I am on 5.1.4 and have all the updates for all of FCP studio in case there is a way to do it in soundtrack pro.

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Hi Mike,
    A. Duplicate your sequence, use Timecode Generator from Video/Video Filter over your edited sequence and then export as QT Movie (low res).

    B. More simple workaround would be export your audio clips to a DV tape, so that the transcription company will get the sequence TC.
