    Hi everyone,

With the thousands of posts regarding trackers I thought I would find the answer to this, but sadly a search left me empty handed.

I have a square-pixel (768×576) comp in which I have a 1.07 aspect PAL video (720×576). I created a small 100x100pixel solid which I want to basically stick to something onto the footage. So I track a spot and then apply the position results to the solid in the same comp. It slips on the horizontal due to what appears to be an aspect ratio problem. Because the position keyframes are calculated on the footage which is 720 wide and then pasted on a solid which moves in a 768 comp, they don’t line up on the the x axis 🙁

I have to work in a square-pixel comp so switching to a 720×576 comp is not an option. Also, precomping the footage doesn’t seem to help, AE simply goes and tracks the raw footage which is strange, even when I select the comp in the tracker.

It’s late so I’m hoping I’m just missing something obvious.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Lev.
