  FCP 4.5 and P2 Footage

  Does anyone know of a way to use Panasonic P2 footage in Final Cut Pro HD, Version 4.5?

  You can’t. Even if the footage was imported with a version of FCP that supports that format, the DVCPRO HD codec for P2 is too new for FCP 4.5 to be able to use.

  Need to upgrade to FCP 5.0.4…at least.

  Interesting Shane.

  I’ve got some local spots coming up shot on HVX200 P2 cards
  and I’m running 5.04

  will I be able to import directly from the cards via the HVX200?
