  Adding transitions to nests

  Probably answering my own question, but is adding say 15 frames to a group of clips at head and tail the only way to get a nest to accept a transition? Keyframing the rubber bands on the opacity bar don’t count. Last week I was working on an infomercial which had a typically complex CTA in 3 versions, the only way I could use transitions was by adding handles inside them, but this just seems so retarded, and like begging for something to get f’ed up.

  Any better ideas?

  That’s the way it works. FCP treats a sequence as a complete piece of media, unless there are I/O points inside it.
