right now i’m using the JVC Gy-hdu110 and the DR-HD110 drive. the drive records in M2T format which doesn’t work in final cut, i have been using MPEG Streamclip to convert the files into .mov. there are some problems with doing that, if i type in the framerate i want there is a glitch that happens about 50 sec into each clip where frames are duplicated and it looks like slow motion. if i dont enter any framerate that problem goes away but the resulting file size is much higher. is there anyway around this? is final cut ever going to support m2t?

The DR-HD110 will record in QuickTime format, which is what you should use. What you’re using is MPEG-2, native for HDV, and a really sucky format to edit with. I’d convert what you have to the AIC codec to edit. I hope FCP NEVER supports m2t cause it just sucks as an editing format. Change the format your DR-HD110 is recording to. Just my 2 cents.
