  Matching colors…

  I’ve been asked to use a specific color which I’ve been given as a Tif file. When I import this image into my FCP sequence (Animation, 29.97, DV NTSC, None) it’s clearly darker and of a slightly different hue. What’s going on here in the translation?

  What’s the best way of making sure they’re matched?

  This sometimes happens due to FCP’s way of using the color space.
  Try to achieve the color inside FCP’s “solids” color menu.
