No Audio when Importing
I had an issue with some MPEGs that I had taken off of a consumer JVC and SONY HDD camera. So I used Visual Hub in order to convert them from MPEGS that would not play on Quicktime or Final Cut Pro to MPEGs that were usable.
They play fine in Quicktime. Perfect with minimal quality loss. However, when importing them to Final Cut Pro (5.1.4) I have two issues:
1) No audio is imported with it
2) The video is glitchyThis is with all JVC and SONY files. Any idea why this is and how I can fix the issue?

Try searching this forum with your camera’s model number. I’ll bet there’s an answer here. If not post back.

One is the JVC GZ-MG20U and the other are the SONY HDR-SR1. I don’t have much on the JVC but I do know that the SONY is notorious for having a ridiculously propriatary format which caused the inital problems. Other than that, I am lost.

for the missing audio, you need to demux the audio when you convert it to the “usable” MPEG’s

Well then, if that’s all that needs to happen, I’d think MPEG Streamclip would do the trick… It’s downloable from Apple’s downloads in the OS X tab of Apple’s Site…
