  HDV Workflow/24p/MacBook Pro

  I wasn’t able to attend NAB, but I’m trying to figure out where everything stands for the MBP user. I have a MBP and a Matrox MXO for output, but would like a way to edit in something other than HDV. It seems that all of the capture methods require a desktop/card setup.

  Will the new AJA ioHD do what I want or do I still need a way to capture HD-SDI into the laptop? Short of doing a software transcode from HDV to something else, what are my options?

  The ioHD will do it all, but at over 3 times the price of the MXO.
