Movie has different durations
So here’s my problem. I captured a movie (with my Kona2 card at 29.97 if it matters). In Final Cut, the duration shows as 1:26:07:25. In Quicktime, it shows at 1:26:13:03. Normally, I wouldn’t look too closely at Quicktime, but when I export the audio into AIFs, then bring them into Final Cut, the AIFs show as 1:26:13:03. If I drop them into my timeline, the duration is 1:26:07:25. What gives?
My goal is to create a 5.1 AC3 file. When I create the AC3, DVDSP reports the file at 1:26:07:27. The biggest problem is that the audio drifts but is in sync in the movie I captured. The file was captured at 8bit uncompressed, non-drop frame, 29.97.
Has anyone seen this before and know of a solution? Thanks.
