  • Duplicate tracks?

Posted by Martin Hayward on March 27, 2007 at 3:00 pm

I work in a Final Cut Pro lab and this morning and someone came in claiming that he pressed a button and he now has duplicates of every clip in every track that he’s created. However, he can’t affect these tracks because they’re like “shadows”. Does anyone have any idea what the heck he’s talking about and/or how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

He may have hilighted the clips in his browser and made subclips of them. Or he may have made subclips from the sequence. Do the clips have a little wierd broken icon that represents them?

According to him, the “shadows” do not appear in his broswer, but in his sequence. He says that his clips are in one layer and then below that is a layer of the exact same clips.

Problem solved. The person was referring to the Clip Keyframes settings located under Timeline Options under Sequence Settings. He had all the options for Audio and Video Checked and it was “cluttering” his timeline. We were both speaking English, but we weren’t, ya know? Thanks for your help, guys!
