In my capture and timeline/sequence settings within FCP, I have set as 16.9, 1440X1080 for HDV export. When I export to quicktime, it appears as though it is displayed 4.3 in a 16.9 frame. Any ideas? The picture does not fill the screen all the way like it is supposed to in the 16.9 setting.

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks

    Mark

    Do the math:

1440×1080 is not a 16×9 aspect ratio. 1920×1080 is. you are working in HDV which is an anamorphic codec (as is DVCPro HD). If you want full raster you will have to capture to an uncompressed codec. Make sure your hard drives can handle the throughput.
