I can’t figure it out, but for some reason I am no longer able to view a paused frame in my viewer window from video that’s been inserted into a sequence. I am able to playback okay, but if I pause the playback, instead of the paused frame showing in the viewer, all I see is a white screen. I am also unable to move the cursor frame by frame using my keyboard arrow keys while viewing it in the viewer. I can hear the audio scrubbing frame by frame, but again the viewer window only shows white. My sequence settings match my video clip settings so I don’t understand why this is happening.

    Help!

You have set the viewer to show the alpha channel. Dunno why it’s so easy to do or why the code monkeys refuse to put some kind of indicator in the interface.

This was my very first question about FCP posted here many years ago.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
