  DVCPROHD 24p Capturing 59.94 because of Bars?

  Capturing DVCPROHD 24p footage shot with Vericam. Camera op laid 1 minute of bars at the head of each tape. It seems when I capture any clip that starts with bars, FCP changes the frame rate for my capture to 59.94.
  I assume this is because the bars were laid to tape 59.94.
  Why I don’t get an error message or anything to warn me that FCP is not going to capture according to the Capture setting I am using?
