Hi please help, i had this problem before and had to abandon all the after effects work i had done. My problem is that I am trying to bring an animation I have made in After effects into Avid Media Composer. I have exported as uncompressed avi but when I import in Avid and play it, it is slightly juddery on movement. Please can someone tell me if i need to change some export settings? Thanks. I am working in a DV widescreen pal Avid project. Should I be rendering from after effects as upper or lower field first, or none? What should the other render settings be on? Any help would be most apreciated, thanks, Dan.

Also, if you’re rendering, generally I get the best quality when I render my animations as a quicktime animation instead of an uncompressed avi.

Exactly. Render out with Qtime, lower first, animation codec, best quality. Import 1:1, lower first. I do it all the time, no problems

Thanks for the replies. When I rendered as lower first-no matter what settings i chose in Avid it looked very jittery. Bizzarely by rendering as single field avi and importing as upper first it looks fine. Quite what is going on there I am not sure but I suspect its something wierd on the Avid end. Thanks for everyones help.
