capturing multiple cameras simultaneously
I am trying to figure out a way to capute multiple camera at the same time. I have 8 cameras for a show and need to capture them all to hard drive so they can be edited immediately after the show. The show is over by noon and I have to have the master to the TV station by 7:00pm. Any suggestions?

Made for just this purpose. Used in the Tour de France and Wimbleton…among others.
Not cheap.

Pardon me for suggesting the obvious, but this is why they invented live switching. Do a live switch, and if you want, iso record your cameras to tape as well. When you’re cutting down your show, if you need a particular shot from an angle you don’t have on the switched master, you need only digitize those shots. Otherwise, stick with the switched master.

I am doing a live switch, but I have such a short turn around time, to get those shots caputured and synced would take too much time. I just need to be able to get to all the shots very quickly.
