  Air molecule animation

  Hi.

  I am trying to make an air molecule look like it is escaping from inside a tire. I want it to look like it is coming from inside the surface of the tire, then perhaps wobbling a little bit as it forms into its finishing shape in the air. I have tried using an animated mask getting bigger to reveal more of the molecule as it rises, but it doesn’t look as realistic as I would like. I have also tried using some of the warp effects, but can’t find one that works well. Any ideas? Thanks.

  Use a particle generator like CC Particle World. Set it so that there are very few particle and animate the death size to increase.

  Also look for Foam. Foam can follow an alpha map although that is an advanced function.

  You will need to invest some time in tutorials for either of these particle systems; they are very complex, very frustrating, till you grasp the physics and the life-to-death concepts.
