  • Question about Quicktime Conversion

Posted by Mark Jackson on March 2, 2007 at 5:32 pm

I just loaded FCP 5.1.4. to my computer, and I’m trying export a sequence to work with it in DVD Studio Pro. When I choose export > Quicktime Conversion, I don’t see the “mpeg 2” option like I use to before I upgrade. All I see is DV Stream, Ipod, mpeg 4, etc.

How do I make a mpeg 2 without going to compressor?

    Thanks.

    Mark

You don’t. Why would you want to avoid using Compressor?

It seems that if you didn’t upgrade from FC5.0.x you loos that option while exporting with QT. Anyway as David says, why don’t you want to use Compressor? I work with FC5.0.4 and i still got the MPG2 exporting option, but I don’t remember using it since I’ve got Compressor. Neader i use DVDSTP to make the MPG2.
    Cheers,
